Summer Retreat 2023

The GHMBC Summer Retreat took place from July 11-13th, 2022 at McLain Lodge in Brandon, Mississippi. Teachers participated in training, professional development, yoga, and other sessions that embody the GHMBC program. For example, the participants were able to learn about establishing an anti-bias/anti-racist classroom that aligns with Unit 2 of the curriculum. Additionally, teachers were able to connect with other teachers from schools in the GHMBC program and offer encouragement and support as they embark on either a first or returning year with the program.
